Apprentice Body Repair Technician to work and train within a busy vehicle repair and restoration company.
Must have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s at grade D or above for level 2, including English and Maths (or equivalent).
Apprentice Body Repair Technician to train/work alongside existing skilled staff in the workshop.
Will report to the workshop controller or manager daily.
In addition to training and assisting in the workshop you will carry out general housekeeping duties.
You will mainly work as part of a workshop team carrying out various duties.
Additional duties will include Panel strip/fit, filler repair.
40 hours Mon to Fri including college

Progress on to a level 3 Body Repair qualification (21 months).

Level 2 Diploma in Body Repair competences (practical competences)
Level 2 Diploma in Body Repair principles (theory and exams)
Level 1 Functional skills (Maths, English and ICT) if required
The current apprenticeship wage is £3.50 per hour, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices aged 16-18, and those aged over 19 who are in the first year of their Apprenticeship, is set at £3.40 per hour. The NMW applies to time working and time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age categories above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.
The position can be physically demanding and dirty at times.
A high level of attention to detail and quality is also expected at all times.
Must be 100% sure of the travelling involved to the company based in S25 and The Sheffield College in S2.
