Apprentice Paint Refinisher

Apprentice Paint Refinisher to work and train within a busy commercial accident repair company.

Qualifications Required

A minimum of 3 GCSE’s at grade D or above for level 2, including English and Maths (or equivalent).
Level 1 Diploma in accident repair Paint Refinishing or previous experience of working in a motor vehicle Body shop is beneficial but not essential.

Full Description

Apprentice Paint Refinisher to work and train within a busy commercial accident repair company.

The apprentice Paint Refinisher to train/work alongside existing skilled staff in the Paint department reporting to the workshop controller or depot manager daily.

In addition to training and assisting in the paint department you will carry out general housekeeping duties.

You will mainly work with a chosen mentor in the paint department but will be expected at times to work with other company staff members possibly in other departments at busy times.

Working Week

40 hours Mon to Fri including college

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Diploma in accident repair paint competences (practical competences)
Level 2 Diploma in accident repair paint principles (theory and exams)
Level 1 Functional skills (Maths, English and ICT) if required

Other Information

The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
