Intercare Services is a family run domiciliary care service in Sheffield. We offer a wide range of personal care and support to people over the age of 18 in their own home.
4 x GCSE A*-D English & Maths or numerical equivalents

Reporting to the Registered Manager
The main purpose of the role is:
To provide assistance with personal care and other daily living tasks to disabled and older people within their own homes.
To work with each individual service user to maximise their independence and choice.
To undertake personal care and daily living tasks as agreed with the service user, their family and professionals involved with the individual service plan.
To work in ways that promote ICS core values.
To work at all times the policies and procedures of ICS including health and safety and confidentiality.
To provide service users with opportunities to express their preference as to the way that care tasks are carried out.
To develop and maintain professional working relationships with service users and work colleagues from a wide variety of backgrounds.
To communicate regularly with your immediate supervisor, in particular regarding changes in the service users condition or circumstances.
To use the services on-call system in accordance with the service guidance.
To attend training, including induction training, team meetings and individual supervision sessions as required.
To complete documentation, including service user records and timesheets.
To undertake any other reasonable duties requested.
Care assistants must not undertake any function which requires a nursing qualification unless training and delegation has been agreed in accordance with ICS policies and procedures.

You will follow the new Apprentice Standard Apprenticeship - Adult Care Worker Level 2 - including End Point Assessment
The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies
