Our study programmes combine hands-on practical work in our industry-standard workshops; with the relevant theory and technical knowledge. No matter what level you start at, you'll have the opportunity to get your hands on the tools and equipment you'll use in the workplace, perfectly preparing you for employment. What's more, we have fantastic links with local employers so you can go further in your career with work experience, placements or an Apprenticeship!

Our amazing facilities

Our motor vehicle students are based at our recently refurbished Olive Grove Campus, where we've invested over £8 million in state-of-the-art automotive facilities so that you're getting the very best experience and are ready to start employment when you leave us.

Teaching expertise

It's not only our facilities that are impressive - the tutors at Olive Grove have lots of experience and enthusiasm for their industry and your development. Many of them have worked in the automotive industry, so they're the ideal people to help you apply your newly acquired knowledge and skills in the real world. 

Work experience

One of the best ways to prepare yourself for the world of work is to get hands-on experience before you leave college. Our motor vehicle study programmes will not only give you the opportunity to work with industry-standard equipment, you will also be able to take advantage of visits to local industry employers and work experienced placements as organised through your course.

There are so many career paths available within the animal care sector, with a wide variety of roles coming up across the region:

  • There are currently over 21,000 jobs in the motor vehicle sector within the Sheffield City Region
  • There are set to be 1,000 new automotive jobs by 2022
