BA (Hons) Events Management (TopUp)

This exciting new course allows students who have completed a foundation degree to top-up to a full Bachelor's Degree over 1 year. You will study the key elements of business management and take elective modules to specialise in Events Management.

About the Course

Validated by The Open University, this one year BA (Hons) top-up degree in Events Management is an exciting new programme.

Students will study two core modules in the first semester which are shared with students on the BA (Hons) Sports Management and the BA (Hons) Business Management top-up courses as well as choosing two modules from a range of electives.  Electives would ordinarily be in a students specialist area but, subject to negotiation, they may decide to focus one of these on the contextual areas of Business or Sports.

Key Units

Semester 1 - Core

Students will study both:

  • Strategic International Management
  • International Marketing Communications

Semester 1 - Electives

Students will choose one of the following:

  • Minor Research Project in Management
  • National and International Development (in Events/Sport/Business)
  • Enterprise and Innovation (in Events/Sport/Business)

Semester 2 - Core

  • Major Business Project

Semester 2 - Electives

Students will choose one of the following:

  • Organisational Pyschology (in Events/Sport/Business)
  • Functional Management (in Events/Sport/Business)
  • Work Based Learning (in Events/Sport/Business)

*Please note that not all modules will run every year - the ones that run will be determined by students selections and staff availability.
