Electrical & Electronic Engineering BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

This course is perfect for you if you wish to pursue a career in electrical or electronic engineering.

About the Course

Throughout this course you will man aspects of Electrical/Electronic technology to provide you with the required underpinning knowledge of maths, science, business, project planning and implementation for success in the engineering workplace.

You'll study 5 core units and 12 specialist units, which will provide you with a vocational focus. You will also complete an engineering project as part of the course, so that you gain experience of managing the engineering process of a project from start to finish. 

* Please note: This course is an engineering course not an installation course and does not provide qualified electrician status.

The course is assessed entirely by coursework therefore you need to have good time management skills and be able to work to targets and deadlines. The overall grade for the qualification is a pass, merit or distinction.

Where does this Lead

The next step could be to our own HND in Electrical Engineering, our Foundation Degree in Engineering, into other Higher Education courses in this field or into direct employment.

Qualification Title
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This course carries UCAS points equivalent to 3 A-Levels. Please check the UCAS website for more details.
