The course is aimed primarily at technician engineers who are currently employed or seeking employment in the mechanical manufacturing or engineering industries.
The BTEC Level 4 HNC in Manufacturing Engineering is a two year part-time course. It is aimed at students who have already gained a Level 3 qualification in Manufacturing Engineering. A-levels in Maths & Science or the required experience in the manufacturing engineering field.
of coursework will be by internally wrote assignments and completed coursework.
Students will be expected to carry out extensive research in order to complete
set assignments. Assignments are externally moderated by the awarding body.
Progression can be to the HND in Manufacturing Engineering or degree study or to relevant employment.
Students will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career, or develop an existing one, within the engineering sector.
Mode of Attendance
Part time over 18 months at Sheffield College of Applied Engineering.
The engineering department try to run engineering field trips each year, designed to enhance and embed student learning.
