This course further develops the bakery skills that you gained at level 1.
It allows you to develop additional skills in cake decoration and patisserie. This will prepare you for work in the baking industry at an operational level, in both confectionery and bread production.
You will develop skills in:
Level 1 Bakery Diploma and Functional Skills at Entry 3.
Practical Assessment and Exams.
You could progress onto a level 3 patisserie diploma course or a part time cake decoration level 1 qualification designed to develop their cake decorating skills even further. You can progress onto further study for science or technical qualifications leading to test bakery or research and development.

It is important that you are motivated and enthusiastic about working in the baking industries. You should have a desire to learn new skills and an interest in making and baking a wide range of cakes, breads, scones and pastries.
