Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork

Brickwork Level 2 Diploma

This course will allow you to expand on skills in basic block work, brickwork and cavity walling from Brickwork Level 1, to include solid walling and cavity walling at Brickwork Level 2.

About the Course

This course is designed for people wishing to take up a career within the building industry as a bricklayer and is a continuation of the Level 1 Brickwork course for students wishing to enhance their Level 1 qualification. You will need to bring your own overalls and safety boots for workshop sessions. All other safety equipment will be provided.

Key Units

You will use working drawings to set out masonry structures covering areas such as thin joint masonry, masonry cladding, solid walling, isolated and attached piers and cavity walling.

Functional Skills lessons (where required) will also form an important part of your course. They include Maths, English and ICT and you will attend lessons to help improve your skills in these areas.
