Brickwork Level 3 Diploma

This course will allow you to develop your practical bricklaying skills and your theoretical knowledge required for a career in this area.

About the Course

You will need to bring your own overalls and safety boots for workshop sessions. All other safety equipment will be provided.

Key Units

You will cover units in safe working practices in construction, information, quantities and communicating with others, building methods and construction technology, structural and decorative brickwork, repairing and maintaining masonry structures and erection of complex masonry structures.

Functional Skills lessons also form an important part of your course. They include Maths, English and ICT and you will attend lessons to help improve your skills in these areas.

Students are expected to work independently on project work away from the college.

Entry Requirements

Level 2 Brickwork Diploma and a minimum of level 1 Functional Skills


  • Knowledge is assessed using on line exams, and also by oral questioning during practical assessments.
  • Practical assessments will be carried out in the workshop following training and practice in the required competencies.
