Business & Administration Level 2 Certificate

The Certificate in Administration (Business Professional) is designed to give you the skills and qualifications needed to work in an office. All organisations need administrators so these skills can lead to employment in a range of organisations.


Key Units

What will I learn?

  • How to produce a range of business documents such as letters, notices, posters amd reports using Microsoft Office
  • Legislation to include data protection, health and safety and copyright affecting organisations
  • The role of administrators
  • Organisation of meetings
  • Arranging Business Travel
  • Financial transactions or Diary planning

What else will I gain?

  • The opportunity to retake GCSEs or functional skills in English and/or maths
  • Text processing Level 2 qualification to include: text production, word processing, speed keying, business presentation, document presentation and possibly audio transcription
  • ITQ Level 1 using Microsoft Office to include File Management and Word processing using Word, Spreadsheets using Excel, Databases using Access, Desktop Publishing using Publisher, Presentations using Powerpoint

Where does this Lead

Where will it lead?  
It is possible to apply for the full time Level 3 Administration Course, Legal Administration Course at Level or 3 or an apprenticeship in Business & Administration which involves working towards an NVQ certificate in Business & Administration at level 2. This means working in a job for 4 days a week and attending College for one day a week.

It is possible to apply for a job on completion at a junior or trainee level within a company.
