At Level 3 you will develop the joinery skills you have already learnt, allowing you to manufacture complex joinery products. You will also look to prepare the knowledge and competencies required for a possible Apprenticeship or employment within the industry.
This course is designed for people who wish to extend their occupational skills and trade knowledge of carpentry and joinery to a high level of competence. The practical activities are challenging and stimulating, involving work of a highly specialist nature.
Key Areas of Study
Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery and a minimum of Level 1 Functional Skills.
You may wish to progress to a Carpentry/Joinery Apprenticeship or pursue employment opportunities within the construction industry.
Will this course suit me?
Applicants should have a willingness and a desire to study on a carpentry and joinery course, be able to take in technical information and demonstrate practical ability in a workshop setting.
You will need to bring your own safety boots, wood working tools for workshop sessions and classroom equipment for theory sessions. All other equipment will be provided.
