Carpentry & Joinery Level 3

At Level 3 you will develop the joinery skills you have already learnt, allowing you to manufacture complex joinery products. You will also look to prepare the knowledge and competencies required for a possible Apprenticeship or employment within the industry.

About the Course

This course is designed for people who wish to extend their occupational skills and trade knowledge of carpentry and joinery to a high level of competence. The practical activities are challenging and stimulating, involving work of a highly specialist nature.

The course is divided into approximately 40% theory and 60% practical. The theoretical part of the course is classroom based, allowing you to take study notes and ask questions to aid your practical work. The practical element will take place in our custom-built woodwork studio, where you can develop your skills through hands on demonstration and practice.

Functional Skills lessons will also form an important part of your course. They include Maths and English to help improve your skills in these areas.
