Construction & Build Environment (Civiil Engineering) Level 3 Extended Diploma

The course is aimed at people who want to pursue a professional career in the construction or civil engineering industry. It is recognised as a formal progression path towards gaining higher level qualifications in a wide range of professional careers within construction.

About the Course

Learning will be undertaken through the completion of projects and assignments based entirely on realistic workplace activities and situations. The course is broad, enabling you to develop a career in the construction industry. It is not job specific or tailored to an individual’s present post.

This work related course is also widely accepted as an alternative to A Levels for university entrance. In addition it is accepted by the construction industry and professional institutions as the nationally recognised technician level qualification prior to HNC. 
The course is equivalent to 3 A Levels.

An Extended Diploma will take two years full-time study to complete. This will include two full days a week at college and self-study time at home.

Future Opportunities

Students who have completed an Extended Diploma in Construction and Civil Engineering may progress to a degree in a wide range of Built Environment related professions; Architecture, Quantity and Building Surveying, Project Management, Town Planning, Civil Engineering, Property Management and many more
