Counselling Level 2

This qualification aims to introduce learners to the use of helping skills in everyday life and work. On successful completion you could progress onto level 3 or it may improve your employment prospects particularly in the care and voluntary sectors.

Key Units

You will be introduced to the Person-Centred Approach to counselling. The course will include group work and skills practices.


Who will the students be taught by?

  • Carolin has worked for the college for over 19 years and taught counselling at the college for 18 years. 
  • Her qualifications include a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Diploma in Supervision and she is a qualified NICE recommended CfD Counsellor and supervisor. 
  • She is registered with BACP and BACP accredited since 2005. 
  • She has worked as counsellor and supervisor in a variety of settings, including education and the NHS and is currently working for the NHS as counsellor and individual and group supervisor.

Work will be assessed by marking of submitted portfolio
