Entry Requirements
BTEC National Certificate in a relevant discipline OR A level in Maths or Science. Experience and/or other qualifications may be accepted at the discretion of the course team.

All applicants are interviewed by teaching staff and individually assessed for their suitability for the course.

All applicants who are non-native English speakers or who have not studied the final two years of school in English must have an IELTS score of level 5.5 or above with a minimum of 5.0 for individual sections.

Electrical & Electronic Engineering HNC

The course is aimed primarily at technician engineers who are currently employed or seeking employment in the mechanical manufacturing or engineering industries.


About the Course

Pearson Edexcel BTEC Higher Nationals are designed to provide a specialist vocational programme, linked to professional body requirements and National Occupational Standards where appropriate. The development of this qualification was informed by discussions/relevant publications from the Engineering Council UK (EC(UK)) and the Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies Alliance (SEMTA). They offer a strong, sector-related emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding.
