This flexible course aimed at people with an interest in furniture making and design and is taught in a safe and friendly workshop environoment which is well equipped with hand tools and machines. The course is taught by a lecturer and technician.
Level 3 is ideal if you have completed Level two City and Guilds Furniture course or have had several years of experience in the furniture industry and wish to build on existing skills and knowledge in areas such as furniture research and development. In addition to more advanced cabinet-making techniques, the course covers wood machining, design skills and wood finishing. As well as practical sessions there are specialist study options such as furniture history design processes and design research and experimentation.

Practical Assessment and coursework.
Those learners who are aged 24+ will be eligible to apply for a Student Loan.
Learners will need to buy some of their own timber. You will need to wear sensible footwear.
