Furniture Making NCFE Level 2

This flexible course, aimed at women with an interest in furniture making and design, is taught in a safe and friendly workshop environment which is well equipped with hand tools and machines. The course is taught by a woman lecturer and technician.


About the Course

This course is very flexible and can be adapted to suit each individual learner with a chance to learn new skills or develop skills. 

New Learners will make a small pine shelf (materials provided) and then research, design and make a wood craft item or bring in a piece to upcycle.
Learners who have achieved Level 1 will continue with projects and developing new skills. Learners will also research enterprise opportunities with in the furniture business and industry.

Students will be taught by Anna Childs. Anna has a MA in Design with 25 year’s experience in furniture making and design.  Anna Childs runs her own furniture making business in Sheffield City Centre.

A safe and friendly workshop environment the workshop is well equipped with hand tools and machines. An inclusive learning environment and a lively college experience.
