Furniture Making NCFE Level 2

This flexible course, aimed at anyone with an interest in furniture making and design, is taught in a safe and friendly workshop environment which is well equipped with hand tools and machines.


About the Course

This course is very flexible and can be adapted to suit each individual learner with a chance to learn new skills or develop skills. 

New Learners will make a small pine shelf (materials provided) and then research, design and make a wood craft item or bring in a piece to up-cycle.
Learners who have achieved Level 1 will continue with projects and developing new skills. Learners will also research enterprise opportunities with in the furniture business and industry.

Students will be taught by Anna Childs. Anna has an MA in Design with 25 year’s experience in furniture making and design.  Anna Childs runs her own furniture making business in Sheffield City Centre.

A safe and friendly workshop environment the workshop is well equipped with hand tools and machines. An inclusive learning environment and a lively college experience.

Learners will need to buy some of their own timber.
