The Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma is made up of 18 study units and the Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 Diploma is made up of 12 study units.
You will learn about:
4 GCSEs at A*-C grades (or acceptable alternatives) including English Language.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required for all Level 3 students and will be carried out at the start of the course.
BTEC Health and Social Care courses are assessed mostly by course work however there will also be some exams. Assessment methods include written assignments, worksheets, role plays, practical assessments, observations, photographic records and workbooks.
Health and social care is one of the largest industry sectors and offers a huge choice of careers. Students who successfully complete this course can apply to university/higher education courses. Past students have gone on to careers and higher education courses in nursing, social work, early childhood studies, occupational therapy, youth and community work, operating department practitioner, applied social sciences, psychology and sociology.
Qualification Title: Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma Health and Social Care which is accepted for entry to higher education courses and attracts UCAS Tariff points equivalent to 2 A levels.
