The Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma is made up of 18 study units and the Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 Diploma is made up of 12 study units.
Key Areas of Study
4 GCSEs grades A* - C (or acceptable alternatives) including English Language.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required for all Level 3 students and will be carried out at the start of the course.
BTEC Health and Social Care courses are assessed mostly by course work however there will also be some exams.
Students who successfully complete the Level 3 Diploma may wish to progress on to an apprenticeship within health and social care.
Health and social care is one of the largest industry sectors and offers a huge choice of careers. Students who successfully complete this course can apply to university/higher education courses.
