Health & Social Care BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma

This Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma, equivalent to 1 A level, is designed to be studied as part of a full time A level programme alongside 2 or 3 A level subjects.


About the Course

The course is also available as a full time Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma programme which is equivalent to 2 or 3 A levels.


Key Units

You will learn about many different aspects of health and social care which could include: 

  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Developing effective communication
  • Equality and diversity
  • Life-stage development
  • Promoting health education or nutrition
Students follow an A Level timetable and are expected to complete 5 hours per week per subject of personal study.

Assessment

BTEC courses are assessed mostly by coursework although there may be some exams. A level subjects selected alongside this course are mainly assessed by exams.
