The Institute of Leadership and Management offers a wide range of qualifications covering all aspects of leadership and management. Last year 90,000 people registered for an ILM qualification, gaining the crucial skills and knowledge to improve their performance at work. The Level 3 qualifications in Leadership and Management are ideal for people who have management responsibilities but no formal training and who are serious about developing their abilities. The qualifications particularly support practicing team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.
You are able to start the online course leading to the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Leadership and Management at almost any time of the academic year. The course takes approximately 12 months to complete; this can be longer or shorter depending on your available study time. You are expected to study for at least three hours a week. Alternatively, you may be interested in the Diploma which takes 18 months or the Award which takes approximately six months.
