The College is offering this fast track diploma course for law graduates as an alternative pathway to qualify professionally. The units offered will be the 2 practice units: Civil Litigation and Criminal Litigation, together with the Skills unit, Client Care. Examination costs and professional registration are not included in the course fee.
The CILEx level 6 units form the last academic stage needed to become a Chartered Legal Executive. The College has a September and January intake leading to external examinations in the unitised offer, for those students who do not wish to enrol on the full Higher Diploma. Please note: the cost of professional registration is additional to the course fees but do include a first attempt at the examinations.
The Level 6 CILEx qualifications form the last academic stage which needs to be completed to become a Chartered Legal Executive. The Level 6 programme also enables students to achieve a recognised national qualification in an individual subject of law, legal practice or legal skills.

There are no formal entry requirements for the single subject certificates, but you must be able to demonstrate you are able to study at university level.
Students successfully completing these units in June may then wish to continue their studies by enrolling on a further unit from September 2017.
Jobs can be found in legal practice, in the legal department of a private company or in local/national government and can include: litigation assistant; paralegal assistant/officer; legal administrator; junior paralegal.
