Motor Vehicle Body & Paint Level 1 Diploma

This level 1 qualification covers the basic technical needs for today’s motor vehicle body and paint industry.


About the Course

This course provides essential knowledge for the body refinisher working on a wide range of vehicles in all types of workshops, dealerships and specialist paint shops. The course will cover interpreting vehicle technical information, basic vehicle preparation, vehicle refinishing materials, tools and equipment, vehicle paint application and correcting minor defects. You also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.

Where does this Lead

Throughout the course there will be opportunities to undertake work experience and progression onto an Apprenticeship programme. Following success in this course you can apply to join a Level 2 Vehicle Body course.

Career opportunities include working in Accident Repair establishments as a Body Repair Technician or as a Vehicle Refinisher.
