With a Plumbing Apprenticeship, you will learn about the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems and components.
This is a two year Apprenticeship course. You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week, which includes a one day a week attendance at college. Functional Skills qualifications will be delivered during your time in college.
You can progress onto the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plumbing (including Gas) or into employment.
As a plumber, you could find yourself working in many different places – from construction sites to residential homes.
Will this course suit me?
An ideal student for this course is one who is motivated and enthusiastic. You must be prepared for hard work as it can be physically demanding working in a variety of environments in all sorts of weather. You must be good with your hands and be prepared to get dirty. You must be able to work both individually as well as in a team. Understanding technology and engineering principles will also be essential. Be aware you may have to travel to get to your work placement.
For this course you will be required to own PPE/work-wear, which you will need for your placement and any workshop sessions at college.
