Our aim is to equip the city’s people with the skills that today’s employers want their workforce to have. This year alone we have helped almost 20,000 people across the Sheffield City Region to fulfil their potential, supporting employers and the local economy.

The Sheffield College is the largest provider of work-based courses in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.

Working with two major universities and 3,000 employers, The Sheffield College has an economic impact of £321 million a year.

We have just invested £15.6 million in two flagship centres for Engineering & Manufacturing and Creative Industries – building on the success of our previous £65 million City Campus investment.

Our Business Advantage Team work with businesses of all sizes to ensure they maximise the benefits investing in their workforce can bring. We currently deliver Apprenticeships in many subjects across the Sheffield City Region ranging from Accountancy to Dental Nursing, along with a fantastic choice of professional and higher level courses.

Upskilling helps to make sure your workforce is the very best it can be.

The Sheffield College offers a wide range of business training courses from employees. These vary from compulsory qualifications such as Health and Safety to courses that build on skills within the business including a range of flexible, part-time degree and professional courses, such as Chartered Institute of Marketing or AAT Accountancy qualifications.
