Students with disabilities
We welcome applications from people with disabilities. The College has a team of staff who can support you with your learning. In order to access this support, you need to apply for Disabled Student Allowance (DSA). You should do this at the same time as applying for financial support for your course.
If you need help with the application process, please contact our Higher Education Disability Advisor, Liz Escadale on 0114 260 2336 or e-mail elizabeth.escadale@sheffcol.ac.uk. If your application is successful, you will receive a letter from DSA authorising an assessment of your needs. You should then contact Liz Escadale with a copy of the letter and she will arrange for your needs to be assessed.
When you get a copy of your assessment you need to send it to Liz Escadale who will arrange for the necessary support to be put in place.
Do not wait until you have an offer from us before applying for DSA. The process takes some time, and we cannot make arrangements for your support package to be put in place until we have a copy of your assessed needs.
