The College offers a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications including access courses, apprenticeships, diplomas, A Levels and degrees.

The open day takes place on Tuesday, January 23rd from 3.30pm to 7.00pm, at all of the College’s main campuses: City, Hillsborough, Peaks and Olive Grove.

Guests will be able to tour the facilities, meet teaching staff and find out more about careers, courses, work experience and student enrichment activities as well as additional support. Family and friends are also welcome.

Angela Foulkes, Principal and Acting Chief Executive, The Sheffield College, said: “We are committed to providing our students with an inspirational learning experience that prepares them for their future careers. The start of a new year is a great incentive to plan positive changes, and I look forward to welcoming visitors to our fantastic facilities.”

Alicia Holdsworth, aged 20, is completing a floristry apprenticeship at Level 3 at the College’s Hillsborough campus on Livesey Street. Alicia spends four days a week training at Floral Magic, in Stocksbridge, and one day studying at the College.

Alicia recently competed in the national finals of WorldSkills UK. In the long term, she would like to set up her own business. She said: “I chose an apprenticeship at The Sheffield College because I love learning new skills, and it’s great to earn as I learn.”
