We want you to succeed in everything that you do, so it's important to us that you have all the tools you need to go further.
Whether that's getting the right funding so that you're not worrying about money instead of your exams, or ensuring that you've got access to support structures both in and out of class, we're here to help. We've got dedicated teams to help you with financial support queries, advice on getting to and from college or just to point you in the right direction.
We have nurseries at City and Hillsborough Campuses which are open to students, plus we can help you apply for childcare support funds if you need them.
Just like at university, we have a Students' Union (made up of elected officials, chosen by you!) whose job is to make sure your voice and opinions are being heard so that you can see the changes that are important to you.
Click on a section below for more information, or you can always contact us at email@example.com.
We want all of our students to be free to focus on their studies without having to worry about childcare responsibilities.
Whether you need financial support to help you with childcare expenses, or you want to enquire about getting your child a place in one of our on-site nurseries at City or Hillsborough Campuses, you can find all of that information here.
We know that money worries can be a huge barrier to learning for a lot of people, but we firmly believe that none of our students should be held back by financial matters.
Our Financial Support Team can help you with student loan applications, advise on how studying may affect your benefits and help eligible students get financial support for things such as books, course supplies, trips and visits.
We believe that all students should have an equal chance of success. No matter what type of support needs you may have, we hope that you will find The Sheffield College a welcoming and inclusive environment in which you can thrive.
In this section you can find information about the types of support that we can offer our students, whether that is specialist learning support, equipment or resources. Our SEND Support Brochure can help you with details for students with EHCPs, physical access requirements and the transition from school to college.
There's also information regarding financial assistance, including our NMH Rates and claiming the Disabled Students Allowance.
The well-being of our students at The Sheffield College is paramount to us, and this includes your mental health.
We've recently signed up to the Association of College's Mental Health Charter and are committed to improving our approach to mental health. We also have several initiatives in place to ensure our students feel safe and supported in their mental health and overall well-being.
Unlike being at school, The Sheffield College has a fully-fledged Students' Union to represent our student body.
Our full-time SU President, SU Officers and Student Reps are all elected to represent you and ensure that your views and the issues important to you are heard by the college and it's governors.
If you're finding the academic demands of your course challenging, our Study Support Assistants are on hand to help!
Based in the Learning Resource Centres (LRC) at each campus they can help you with:
