About this Course

The BTEC Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts (Technical Arts) Media Make-up provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the media make-up and hair artistry sector and national recognition by employers allows direct progression to work in the sector, whether in freelance, self-employed or employed roles. Students are encouraged to explore different techniques and effects in hair and make-up styling for photographic shoots, as well as developing skills in sculpting and casting to produce special make-up effects, prosthetics and character creation.
