If you want to work for a wildlife trust, country park or country estate the Environmental Conservation programme could be the one for you. This course will develop your knowledge, practical and technical skills to work within this sector of the land-based industry.
Key Areas of Study
4 GCSEs grades A* - D / grade 3 or above (or acceptable alternatives) including English Language.
The course is assessed by the gathering of work-based evidence into a portfolio. In addition to a portfolio assessment you will undertake short written tests and on-going practical assessments.
Successful students finding employment could progress onto our Environmental Conservation or Horticulture Apprenticeship programme.
Future career opportunities could include working in environmental conservation or land based management for a wildlife trust, country park or country estate.

You will need to be practically minded, like working outdoors in all seasons and able to undertake a range of tasks including lifting and moving, ground preparation and planting.
