This is a 22-week (usually four days a week) intensive professional course designed to lead you directly into employment as a multi-media reporter or photojournalist. This course is an excellent alternative to university for students who would prefer to take a professional route into journalism.
What will I learn? There are mandatory modules in reporting, public affairs, media law, shorthand and e-portfolio, and optional modules in photojournalism, video journalism and court reporting.
What else will I gain? We encourage and help all students to do work experience during the course. There are also opportunities to report from crown court, coroner’s court and city council meetings.

Minimum - must be over 18 at the start of the course and have GCSE English at A* - C
