Taster Days

Taster Sessions

Taster sessions are a great way of finding out more about the college and the varied courses that we offer.

Performing Arts Session

What is a taster session?

A taster session is essentially a chance for you to come into college and get involved with a hands on session in one of our fantastic departments. You'll have the opportunity to check out the facilities you'll be using on the course you're interested in, have a go at the activities you might be doing in lessons, meet the tutors and ask more detailed questions about the course.

When can I come to a taster session?

Please check out the information below for details about the taster sessions we have coming up. Dates and departments may change so keep an eye out!

How do I decide which sessions to choose?

The taster experience you choose depends on which course your interested in, and each course will run two sessions where you can find out more about the course; see the facilities on offer (3G sports pitch, performing arts centre, recording studio, the list goes on!) and even try out some of the activities that form part of lessons.

If you're dream job is to become an actor, then sign up for a Performing Arts taster session where you can experience working and performing in our state of the art theatre space. Or if you see yourself in Gaming or App development then you'll want to try one of the Creative Digital Practice courses, based in the industry standard computer suites.

Even if you haven't fully decided what you want to study, a taster day can help you to make up your mind, or even open your eyes to areas you hadn't considered before.
