STEM subjects are integral to the UK's success and the government has identified this area of education as a major priority. The requirement for a skilled workforce to contribute to growth is ever more crucial.*
The Sheffield College has developed two exciting courses, utilising LEGO® Education, to enable up-skilling in this area and help learners realise their potential in this rapidly growing sector:
Introduction to Robotics (Intermediate Level)
If you have an interest in robotics and want to learn more then this is the course for you.
Using the latest LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robotics building kits and the labVIEW for LEGO® MINDSTORMS® programming environment, the course will introduce you to the basic concepts and principles of building and programming robotic devices.
The ‘hands-on’ and ‘minds-on’ learning approach is fully utilised and you will have the opportunity to build and test your own robotic modes, whilst learning about a variety of sensors and actuators.
No previous experience of robotics is necessary but familiarity with using a computer is essential.
