This course introduces you to the dynamic area of art and design, building on the knowledge and skills acquired at Level 1.
Key Areas of Study
4 GCSEs grades A* - D / grade 3 or above (or acceptable alternatives); including English Language and an art-related subject or portfolio of art work.
The work is by continual assessment but you will also be graded on each project and a pass must be achieved to continue to the next stage. At the end of the course you will undertake a final project which concludes in a final grade and your work exhibited in an end of year show.
Successful completion of this course with good attendance and punctuality and tutor recommendation can lead to one of our Art and Design BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma courses or an appropriate alternative.

Students are required to provide their own basic equipment as well as pay a studio fee of approximately £50 towards the cost of materials provided by the college and you are expected to contribute towards the cost of trips and visits.
