This UAL Extended Diploma in Graphic Design and Digital Illustration is an exciting programme, designed to give you an understanding of the creative industries and their products. You'll study graphic design and digital illustration, familiarising yourself with industry standard software such as Photoshop and Illustrator as you go, so that you're ready for employment or further study on completion.
Our contemporary and highly creative one year Higher National Certificate in Creative Practice is tailored specifically for those students who have studied either photography, film making or graphic design at either A Level or on a Level 3 technical qualification, and who now wish to go on the study the subject of their choice at a higher education level. This qualification is the equivalent to year one of a three-year Bachelor (Hons) Degree.
Our Higher national diploma level 5 course addresses both the historical and contemporary context of creative practice within the photography, film making and graphic design specialisms. Further, this course prepares you for working in the industry either in a staff or freelance capacity. Tutors will guide you on how to become exceptional practitioners, by learning key technical skills, developing their own unique style, understanding key aspects of the industry and becoming confident and independent.
A creative study programme designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to progress to degree level or employment in journalism, creative writing, digital communications, marketing or publishing. It can also lead onto the Level 5 NCTJ Diploma in Journalism at The Sheffield College or to an Apprenticeship.
