Meet the Careers Advice Team

The Careers Advice Team at The Sheffield College offer free and informed careers education, information, advice and guidance to all students. Our experienced careers IAG advisers are fully qualified in providing expert and impartial advice and guidance.

Students can also access fully independent careers advice through the National Careers Service.

Sarah Kettlewell – Head of Student Participation and Careers (Careers Leader) SFHEA

Sarah is the strategic lead in the college for Careers, Student Participation, Student Voice and Enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • PG Cert Careers Leadership – University of Huddersfield
  • PG Dip CEIGHE (Careers Education, Information & Guidance in Higher Education) – University of Warwick
  • BA (Joint Hons) Psychology & Sociology – Sheffield Hallam University
  • NVQ Level 4 – Advice & Guidance

Faye Seabrook – Careers IAG Adviser (Hillsborough Campus and HE Students)

Faye is one of the careers advisers based at the college’s Hillsborough Campus and supports the delivery of the college’s careers programme and provides impartial careers information, advice and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • PG Dip/QCG Careers Guidance - Nottingham Trent University
  • MA Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) - The University of Leicester
  • BA (Hons) French and Spanish - The University of Hull

Natalie Jackson – Careers IAG Adviser (City Campus and Enterprise)

Natalie is one of the careers advisers based at the college’s City and Olive Grove Campuses, and supports the delivery of the college’s careers programme and provides impartial careers information, advice and guidance. She also delivers college Enterprise activities

Qualifications:

  • Level 6 qualification in careers guidance
  • BA (Hons) English – Loughborough University
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Laura O’Connell

Catherine Beresford – Careers IAG Adviser (City Campus and the Adult Learning Centre at Pennine Five)

Catherine is one of the careers advisers based at the Adult Learning Centre at Pennine Five and City Campus, and supports the delivery of the college’s careers programme and provides impartial careers information, advice and guidance. Catherine also leads on activities and events through the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Business and Enterprise employer Skills Academy across the College.

Catherine Rimmer

Catherine Rimmer – Careers IAG Adviser (Hillsborough Campus and Events Lead)

Catherine is the careers adviser based at Hillsborough Campus and supports the delivery of the college’s careers programme, providing impartial careers information, advice and guidance. Catherine also event manages the careers events across the college.

Tristan King – Careers IAG Advisor (City and Olive Grove Campuses)

Tristan is one of the Careers Advisors based at the college's City and Olive Grove Campuses. He supports the delivery of the college's careers programme and provides impartial careers information, advice and guidance.

Cathy is a careers advisor based at City and Pennine 5 campuses, providing impartial careers information, advice and guidance as well as supporting the delivery of the college’s careers programme.
