Unlock Your Business Potential with T Level Industry Placements

In today’s workforce, finding skilled workers can be a daunting task for many businesses. But here’s the good news: Industry Placements offer a unique opportunity for employers to actively participate in shaping the next generation of talent.

Let’s look at Mediplan Limited, a family-run medical care product provider and their collaboration with The Sheffield College in offering an industry placement to one of our T Level Engineering students. Alan Dent, Operations Manager, sheds light on the many benefits that industry placements have brought to their business.

At Mediplan, they value supporting the local community and investing in future workers. Mediplan stresses the importance of passing skills and knowledge to the next generation of engineers to sustain growth within the sector.

Before hiring a placement student, they outlined what type of student they wanted. They asked for someone eager to learn, detail orientated and curious. At The Sheffield College, we have skilled students eager for industry placements and our team were able to match the correct student with the employer.

Reflecting on their experience, Mediplan advises employers to keep placement students engaged by offering opportunities to learn and develop a wide range of skills.

Mediplan encourages other businesses to embrace this opportunity, The support from The Sheffield College made the transition smooth for both the student and the employer.
