We’re looking forward to opening our doors again on Thursday 22nd January for the next of our general Open Days. Our City and Hillsborough Campuses and our Advanced Technology Centre will be open to all current and prospective students, to help them figure out their next steps. If you’re keen to be part of it, here’s what you can expect:
1. Arrive on campus
Whichever campus you choose to visit, you’ll be greeted on arrival by a member of The Sheffield College staff. If you’ve booked your place already, have your confirmation email ready. This will have a QR code attached to it, which will allow you to get scanned in easily and on your way. If you haven’t had chance to book ahead, simply sign in on one of the laptops we’ll have available.
Once you’re in, you can head to our support staff or you can make your way to curriculum areas. We’ll have plenty of people on hand to show you the right direction, so have a chat with a member of staff who will point you the right way.
2. Explore the curriculum areas
On the night, our curriculum areas will be a hive of activity. Students will be around to show off their latest projects, staff will be on hand to answer any course-related questions, and we’ll have interactive activities set up to allow you to experience a taste of college life, as well as the sort of work you could be doing as part of your qualification. You’ll be able to explore the facilities each area has at their disposal and discover the placement opportunities available to our students too.
3. Speak to support staff
Any questions you’ve got relating to finances, childcare, careers, and additional support needs, we’ve got you covered on the night. A member of staff will be able to point you in the direction of the right member of staff who’ll be able to answer any of your burning questions, so you can start applying for your ideal qualification.
4. Apply!
Once you’ve decided on your course and you’re raring to go, you can apply then and there. We’ll have staff available on the night who will guide you through the process so that you can head home knowing your future’s already in the making.
