Updated: 19.08.26
It’s GCSE results day this Thursday 20th August, and if you’re expecting to receive your results, read on to find out everything you can expect on the day.
When will I receive my results?
For GCSE, Level 2 vocational and technical qualifications studied at The Sheffield College, you will receive an email from 8am onwards on Thursday 20th August 2026. Results will be sent to your college email address and your personal email address if we have it.
Other vocational qualification results where the assessment method was via a test/exam or assessment of practical skills will be issued throughout August as they are made available by the awarding bodies.
We will be in touch when we have received certificates from the awarding organisations.
If you have any questions about your results from The Sheffield College, please contact exams@sheffcol.ac.uk
If you are expecting your results from another school, college, or sixth form, please check with them directly and they will let you know how your results will be released.
What happens if I’ve applied to continue studying at The Sheffield College and I’ve got the grades I need?
If you are already a student at The Sheffield College and you have the grades you need from your conditional offer to continue studying with us, congratulations! Please complete your pre-enrolment online via the Prospect portal (log in using your college email and usual college password).
Once your tutor has confirmed your enrolment in late August, you can log back into the Prospect portal to complete your digital signature.
If you are a new student holding a conditional offer to study with us and you have the grades you need, you’ll need to complete your pre-enrolment online through the Prospect portal.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be given a date and time to come in and finish your enrolment on campus. It’s important that you attend this appointment so that you can confirm your place with us.
If you haven’t received an email with your enrolment appointment or are unable to make the date given, please contact our Admissions Team on admissions@sheffcol.ac.uk
