Lois Bruce

Here's why Lois was nominated by her tutor:

Lois always comes prepared for her lessons and is ready to learn. She has shown dedication to her English studies, by taking notes to practice her learning and skills outside of the classroom. This dedication has helped her to progress quickly up to the next level in English, despite her lacking confidence at the beginning of the year.

She is now working at both level 1 in English and maths. She actively joins in with group discussions and will now answer questions confidently in class. She is often seen offering support and guidance to her class peers and always has a friendly smile.

Outside of college she dives and competes for her country in the junior squad. Her diving has taken her all over the world, and she has shared some of these stories and her successes during class speaking and listening activities. She also works part time in a local cafe at the weekends. Lois is one of our 14 to 16 year old students and I am sure that you will agree that her dedication, hard work and drive will see her going far in the future.
