John Fewkes' Boxing Academy Programme, provides 16 - 19 year olds with a comprehensive initiative combining elite boxing training and vocational education. The programme aims to develop both boxing and academic skills to provide a platform for current boxers to reach towards elite level whilst providing an opportunity to study towards vocational sport qualifications.
KW2 Academy's scholarship programme, provides 16-19 year olds with a comprehensive full-time initiative combining football and education. This program aims to nurture both athletic and academic skills, offering participants a well-rounded experience to support their development on and off the field. Students studying the Level 3 BTEC in Sports Coaching and Development will study a variety of units such as anatomy and physiology, fitness testing, sports coaching, and leadership, as well as academy training and games structured around their academic studies.
This study programme is for students who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of sport. The programme has two distinct pathways. A fitness pathway that emphasises study in this area including health, exercise and anatomy; and a coaching pathway that focuses on coaching, skill development and analysis of sports performance. The programme has both academic and practical elements of study, plus a mandatory work-based experience in sport.
The course is aimed at young people who have a keen interest in sport and fitness and would like to pursue a career in sport and active leisure. This course will suit you if you wish to gain knowledge, understanding and the skills for working in sport and leisure in a variety of different roles.
This study programme allows students to develop a well rounded understanding of sport and exercise science by studying a variety of topics, including anatomy and physiology, sports psychology and nutrition. This course is ideal for people interested in going on to careers in Sport and Exercise Science, Sports Rehabilitation, Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy and other related Higher Education courses. It can also lead straight into a wide range of employment including sports coaching, physiotherapy assistants or Apprenticeships.
