Key Units

This nationally recognised qualification is designed to develop learners’ understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in a variety of settings including the workplace, community and personal environments. The course explores how to promote equality, foster good relations, and eliminate discrimination based on protected characteristics such as age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

The course is ideal for individuals who want to improve their knowledge of equality and diversity legislation, as well as those seeking to apply these principles in real-world scenarios. It is especially useful for people working in, or aspiring to work in, sectors such as health and social care, education, customer service, and public services.

Learners will gain a better understanding of the key concepts around equality, diversity, and inclusion, and how to create inclusive environments where everyone is respected and valued. The qualification also helps promote personal and professional development by encouraging open-mindedness and cultural awareness.
