Key Units

Motor Vehicle Accident Repair Level 1 
This Level 1 qualification covers the basic technical needs for today’s motor vehicle body and paint industry. 

Motor Vehicle Accident Repair Level 2 
This course is designed to build on your knowledge from Level 1 and continue to develop a variety of skills necessary to build a career in the industry. 

Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 1 
Theory lessons covering the required technology are classroom based, giving you the opportunity to take notes to aid your studies. Practical lessons take place in the motor vehicle workshops and give you the opportunity to develop the skills needed to pass the assessments. 

Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 2 
This Level 2 qualification covers the technical needs for today’s motor vehicle repair industry, including the diagnosis of non-complex system faults. 

Vehicle Fitting Level 2 
Our course combines classroom learning with hands-on practice to give you a thorough understanding of car systems, tools, and safety.

T Level in Electric and Light Vehicles  
During the two-year programme, students will develop the core knowledge and skills, alongside industry experience that are all needed for entry into a range of maintenance, installation and repair occupations. T Levels comprise of 80% classroom learning and 20% placement.

4 GCSEs grades A* - E / grade 2 or above (or acceptable alternatives), to include English Language

At The Sheffield College, you will learn from highly qualified staff with a wealth of experience in both academic and sport sectors. The college offers excellent facilities to support your learning, including our newly launched Advanced Technology Centre, equipped with electric vehicle bays, vehicle paint bays, immersive classroom and industry standard equipment.

Course enrichment 
You will have the opportunity to engage in various enrichment activities such as industry visits, guest speaker sessions, workshops, and community-based projects. You can also pursue additional qualifications such as first aid or manual handling certificates. 

Extra Costs

For this course you will be required to buy PPE college work wear. You will need to bring your own overalls and safety boots for workshop sessions as a minimum requirement. 

All other safety equipment will be provided on an as and when needed basis.

Students in financial hardship may be eligible to apply for support through the Student Support Fund.
