This adult online qualification aims to increase your knowledge and understanding of allergies, allergens and intolerances, including how they can affect individuals in everyday life. The course is particularly useful for those working, or looking to work, in roles where an understanding of allergies is important. It will help you develop your awareness of allergic reactions, food labelling and the steps that can be taken to reduce risks and support individuals with allergies. Completing this Level 2 Allergy Awareness course helps satisfy the staff training mandate under Benedict's Law, which requires all staff on site (teaching, catering, admin, and support) to understand how to recognise anaphylaxis and respond to emergencies. Allergies and intolerances can have a significant impact on an individual's health and wellbeing. Having a good understanding of allergens, how to recognise potential risks and how to respond appropriately is valuable across a range of sectors and job roles. The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Allergy Awareness (RQF) is a nationally regulated Level 2 qualification. Its qualification number is 603/4813/6 and it is assessed through a portfolio of evidence on our online VLE portal - E-Assessor Pro. Key Units:

Acceptance onto the qualification is based on a phone or online interview with the Tutor.
Learners must be aged 19 years or over and may be required to do an initial assessment to ensure can access the course requirements.
