Key Units

Introduction to Brickwork Level 1 
This course is designed to prepare people to enter the construction industry as bricklayers. You will receive a thorough grounding in the practical aspects of bricklaying, enabling you the opportunity to progress to a trade diploma upon successful completion of this course. 

Intermediate Bricklaying Skills Level 2 
This progression study programme is designed to give you the industry recognised skills required for a career as a bricklayer. This course will further develop your skills in the practical aspects of bricklaying, enabling you to progress into employment upon successful completion. 

Entry Requirements

Introduction to Brickwork Level 1 
4 GCSEs grades A*- E / grade 2 or above (or acceptable alternatives), including English Language 

Intermediate Bricklaying Skills Level 2 
A Level 1 qualification in Brickwork/Bricklaying 
4 GCSEs grade A*- E / grade 2 or above (or acceptable alternatives), including English Language

Where does this Lead

After completing these courses, you could progress to a higher-level qualification or a construction-related apprenticeship. Many students move on to work as qualified bricklayers, site supervisors, or construction managers, or continue into specialised trades within the building industry.

Extra Costs

For this course you will be required to buy PPE college work wear. You will need to bring your own overalls and safety boots for workshop sessions as a minimum requirement. 

All other safety equipment will be provided on an as and when needed basis.
