About this Course

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice you will play a key role in ensuring that young children are healthy, safe and developing at a good pace. Either working on your own or supervising others to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements set by the government for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. This Level 3 Apprenticeship is suitable for those wishing to begin or progress their career within early years education. The benefits of becoming an early year’s educator are vast, giving individuals the opportunity to work as a valuable member of a team and to help shape the lives of children whilst offering a range of opportunities to progress within education. Upon successful completion of this Apprenticeship, individuals are able to move forward with their career with the knowledge and experience they have gained.

Key Units

Apprentices will complete academic written assignments for each of 22 units, with all criteria completed fully, and submitted in a timely fashion. In addition, there will be a Longitudinal Study, to include child observations, assessments, planning and evaluation. Working with the Assessor, Apprentices will undertake workplace observations and gather witness testimonies from colleagues in the setting, and professional discussion throughout the duration.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSE’s at grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics. Mathematics and English equivalents can be accepted.

Assessment

Academic written assignments and Workplace observations to achieve the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) 

End Point Assessment:
  • Multiple choice test and Professional Discussion.
