This is an exciting and mainly practical course combining practical exploration of styles and techniques in acting with related written assignments.
4 GCSEs grades A* - D / grade 3 or above (or acceptable alternatives), to include English Language.
Coursework
Progression can be to any Level 3 course, but most students progress to the Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting) at The Sheffield College.
Students often continue to develop their skills and knowledge of drama at university or drama school. This can lead to careers in the performing arts industry (both on and off stage), but also in a wide range of other areas where artistic understanding and communication skills are important.
What else will I gain?
The course will not only help you develop your knowledge and understanding of every aspect of performance but it will help your communication skills and should give you confidence in working both on your own and with others. These are skills that you can apply whatever you decide to do after you have finished the course .You will also be able to carry out research and reflect with thought and perception on your own working practices.
