Hospitality and Catering – Entry Level

This course will give you an opportunity to learn about food preparation and to develop your employability skills in a real working environment.

Bakery – Level 1
Learn the foundations of bread, pastry, and cake making.

Bakery – Level 2
Improve your skills and start to create more advanced bakery products. This will prepare you for work in the baking industry at an operational level, in both confectionery and bread production.

Professional Bakery – Level 3
Take your baking to the next level, learning professional techniques and specialist methods that will equip you for work in this popular and rewarding industry.

Catering and Hospitality – Level 1
Get started with the basics of cooking, customer service, and kitchen safety. This will prepare you for work in this industry at an operational level.

Catering and Hospitality – Level 2
Enhance your cooking skills and gain real experience in a working kitchen or restaurant.

Professional Cookery – Level 3
Train like a chef – learn complex cooking techniques and work to industry standards. An ideal student for this course is one who is motivated with a desire to learn and is passionate about gastronomy.

Hospitality Supervision – Level 3
Build your leadership and communication skills for front-of-house, supervisory and leadership roles.

Restaurant Food and Drink Service – Level 2
Gain the skills to work confidently in food and drink service settings.

Entry Requirements

Hospitality and Catering – Entry Level

There are no formal entry requirements needed to join, but those in education will be expected to complete their current learning programme.

Bakery – Level 1
4 GCSEs at A*- E/grade 2 or above, including English Language.

Bakery – Level 2
This is a progression qualification only after studying bakery at Level 1.

Professional Bakery – Level 3
This is a progression qualification only after studying bakery at Level 2.

Catering and Hospitality – Level 1
4 GCSEs at A*- E/grade 2 or above, including English Language.

Catering and Hospitality – Level 2
This is a progression qualification only after studying Level 1 Catering and Hospitality.

Professional Cookery – Level 3
This is a progression qualification only after studying a Level 2 catering and hospitality course. If you are a mature student without the entry qualifications, we will consider your application and invite you in for an interview.

Hospitality Supervision – Level 3
This is a progression qualification only after studying Level 2 Catering and Hospitality.
