Key Units

Electrical Installation Level 1 
This qualification is for those wanting to enter the Electrical industry. It gives you the opportunity to pick up some core skills and knowledge and gives you the opportunity to progress onto our Level 2 or T Level Electrical Installation qualifications. 

Electrical Installation Level 2 
The Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation will equip students with a deeper understanding of electrical science and how this applies to electrical installations and wiring systems. You will also start to prepare for work in the industry by developing your professional communication skills. 

T Level Electrotechnical Engineer 
During this two-year programme, students will develop the core knowledge and skills alongside real industry experience that are all needed to kick-start a career in the construction and building technologies sector. 80% of learning is delivered in a classroom setting, with 20% comprising of a work placement with a real employer.

5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above to include English Language, Maths and Science

Where does this Lead

Starting with Electrical Installation Level 1 gives you the basics, while Level 2 builds your technical skills for work or an Apprenticeship. From there, you could progress to a T Level in Electrotechnical Engineering, then onto higher technical qualifications (HNC/HND), a Degree Apprenticeship, or university-level study in electrical or building services engineering. 

These courses are also a direct pathway into employment as an Apprentice electrician.

Extra Costs

For this course you will be required to buy PPE college work wear. You will need to bring your own overalls and safety boots for workshop sessions as a minimum requirement. 

All other safety equipment will be provided on an as and when needed basis.
